Your body holds every single moment of your experience – your thoughts, your dreams, your successes, your challenges, embedded in the very synapses and circuitry of your brain and nervous system.  This is why a touch, or a song, or an aroma may conjure a memory of a forgotten time.

It is your body’s nervous system that controls the stress response and the cascading reactions thereafter – heart racing, laser focus, muscle tension, adrenaline pumping. What follows (or should follow) is the relaxation response – a return to rest, the letting down of high alerthealing.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to safely access your innate healing mechanism to return your body to neutral, where you can begin to use breath, movement, support, and exploration to re-wire the circuitry.

How It Works

  • You will learn simple techniques to ground, calm, and center yourself so you can feel safe and present in any situation, anytime.
  • You will engage in easy-to-practice activities to deepen your awareness of your body’s unique messages so you stop denying your needs and learn to trust your gut instinct.
  • Through “sensation versus story”, you will learn to observe, explore, and allow – supporting your body’s natural wisdom – so you can detach from drama, blame, and criticism in favor of curiosity, wonder, and play.
  • You will “paint your boundaries” and “follow the leader” to explore areas of resistance and patterns of tension, learning how to “sit with what is” so you build stress-resilience and prevent the “flare-ups” that used to sabotage and block you.
  • By engaging with your body, you will begin to acknowledge it as a roadmap and guide for your life experiences so you can empower yourself to consciously choose your future direction aligned body to soul.

A little about your facilitator...

Hi, I’m Carol,

Thirty-33 years ago I began a journey of healing through my body.  I was newly sober, I’d just divorced my husband of eleven years and had no real work experience.  I had two young kids depending on me.  I was overwhelmed, confused, and worried. I was a mess!

Through a series of what I now recognize as synchronicities, I enrolled in massage therapy school and began a life-long love affair with the body and a quest to unravel its mysteries.  And in the process, I began to heal my body, my mind, and my soul.

Through my work with clients I discovered the transformative power of embodiment in unlocking an inner world that was creative, clear, and expansive.  My clients’ feedback and their successes in making sustainable changes to their lives sparked the idea to create a program people could learn and do on their own.

This half-day immersion is an introduction to practicing embodiment skills in a conscious manner, activities to deepen your awareness of your body and engage its innate healing wisdom.  And I am excited to offer it to you now!
